Let’s discuss basic “Branding for NFT Projects.”
We will delve into what and why we should pay closer attention to this topic.
In both virtual and real-life projects, many start planning with branding. Why is that? Because branding significantly influences sales and how potential “customers” perceive your project.
Branding
Branding covers many things, from color palettes to font types and the web design your project is going to have.
Font – Type
The next significant consideration is the font type used in your project. Choose a few fonts you would like to use for your media as the main font type, and then pick one that you think is the best. It can also be the font you will use for your logo. One of the best places to start is Google Fonts. Most commonly, you use one stronger font type for headers, menus, and logo design, and a different font type for regular text in your marketing material. It’s not recommended to use more than two different font types for your marketing material, but you can use different weights of the same font type.
Is the font type you are using free for marketing purposes or only for private use? If you opt for a paid font type, does it offer enough different weights to suit your needs, and is it suitable for your project? Free fonts available on the internet can often suffice, but ensure that the chosen font has an adequate range of weights. By weights, I mean variations like this:
Why is it important to think about these things at the beginning? Because it will save you a lot of time in the long run. Every time you create marketing material for your project, it will be much faster and easier if you already have everything in place. Personally, I use templates for graphics, employing them each time I create new posts. You have no idea how much time I’ve saved this way.
Logo
And we are getting to the Logo itself.
The Logo Design has been a little bit different in Web3 as opposed to standard RL businesses.
The standard logo design should be in two, maybe three colors maximum. The ideal is two colors while the whole logo should be possible to print as a transparent file on any surface. You should be thinking about it this way. If my logo is printed only in black and white, does it still look good? Can I print my logo on t-shirts? The print can be very expensive and the more colors your logo has, the more expensive it can get. Can I use my logo for example in Telegram where some users have a light theme and some users dark theme?
We have seen a very different trend in Web3. Many projects use very difficult designs in their logos. Many times it would be almost impossible to print it properly. And yes, I know. We are all digital now, but what if you would like to build a Merch shop? What logo you are going to use on your stuff?
And the last thing. Is your logo going to look good as small and big as well? Can your customers recognize your logo as a pfp on Twitter for example?
These are questions you might be asking yourself when creating your Logo for the project.
Great examples of well-handled Logo Design in NFT Projects would be for example NOOT, Oddblox or Karma Bragons.
Conclusion
So here you go. These are very basic questions you might want to ask yourself before you start your Project or collection. And if you do answer them, it will make your life much easier in a long run.
Of course this is really just basic. You can go as deep as you want with it.

The branding is very important to think about right from the beginning. Can you pivot and make changes later? Absolutely. Even huge companies like Nike, Adidas or Apple are making small changes in their branding over time when it suits their Marketing but your brand is what will make you stick out. You are not building only a project or collection, you are building a brand. Your customers/holders will connect with your brand. They will probably recommend you to their friends. So make sure your brand is easy to identify and recognize.
“BSC NFTs have an amazing community of creators and members from different corners of the world. I previously had the opportunity to work with the WordPress and Divi Theme communities, which serve as great examples of cooperation and collaboration. I have always believed in the spirit of community, as the saying goes, ‘A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats.’ Degens who know me can tell I always prefer collaboration against rivalry. There is so much to gain when we work together to make this technology more accesible for everyone out there.”
